How To Quit Any Addiction – The Power Of Subconscious Mind

The brain is the most powerful thing in the world. Because of this humans are the greatest creature of God. The brain is something which can be used in both the ways, negative and positive. Being around a group of negative people makes you a negative person and living within the positive people makes you a positive person.  In other words, it is just like a computer, now it depends on you whether you install corrupt windows into it or genuine windows.

The major thing in our brain is a habit. All the bad and good habits are formed in our brain. The addictions are also under the control of our brain. so to understand addiction you must first know the three parts of the brain. From the psychological point of view, the brain has three systems.

  1. The Conscious,
  2. The unconscious.
  3. The subconscious.

The Conscious system:

The conscious system is the system which is under our control. It has the control of our five senses, sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. It is the only system of the brain which is under our control. For example, it is under my control to see what I want to see or to touch what I want to touch. If we feed this system with positive content we will get a positive result and if we feed it with the negative content we will get a negative result.

The unconscious System:

The next system is the unconscious system of our brain. This system is not under our control. That is why it is called unconscious. for example, when we touch something hot accidentally, we back our hand within milliseconds. This is because of the response of the unconscious system.

The Subconscious System:

You may have or may not have heard of the subconscious system. It is the most important system of the human brain. This system differentiates between the loser and the winner, between the leader and the followers. The most common thing among the genius people of the word is “A great subconscious mind”. This system is not directly under the control of our brain, but somehow indirectly. For this system, the conscious system works as a medium. If we want to control our subconscious mind, we have to control our conscious mind first and that will control the subconscious mind. Addiction and habits all are under the control of the subconscious mind.

What is an addiction?

Habit is one of the best and the worst thing in the world. Habits are under the control of our subconscious mind. So how is a habit basically formed? Habit is formed by doing something daily with more interest and passion. A habit becomes an addiction when it gets out of the control of our mind. Using cell phone a lot, smoking, drinking, gaming, or watching porn, these all are addictions.

For example, a person who has the addiction to smoking has once smoked a cigarette with his friends, he felt it cool, smoked another cigarette, and that’s how he got addicted to smoking. So while he was smoking, it was under the control of his conscious system and when it continued for more time, it got into the subconscious part of his brain and that is how it became a habit.

The same way you can form a good habit, like studying 8 hours a day. You started studying 30 minutes the first day but your brain was not ready to study, you studied again for an hour the next day, and again it was hard for you to sit and focus on study.  So if you continue this for 28 days with the increase in the study time day by day, you will get the habit of studying. After 28 days you will find it very easy studying 8 hours a day. You basically become habitual of it and that is how a habit is formed. So if you want to master a habit, you have to consistently work on that for 28 days. A new habit is formed within 24 to 28 days for a normal person.
