Introduction to Bullying and its types

Bullying is the use of force to abuse, or tease someone. Bullying may occur due to a difference in cast, race, religion, behavior, size or personality. Bullying could be of different types. It could be physical, verbal or cyber.  Bullying is done where there are a lot of people. By a lot of people, it means it could be a school, college, neighborhood, or social media sites.

Physical bullying is stealing, hitting, fighting or damaging someone’s property. Bullying mostly occurs in schools. A group of classmates beating a classmate is a kind of physical bullyingVerbal bullying is verbally abusing, teasing, making fun or calling someone by a specific name which he does not like. This type of bullying is mostly done in schools or colleges. Ragging is also a kind of bullying. When a new mate joins the school or colleges, he is bullied in the name of ragging.

Another type of bullying is cyberbullying. Abusing, teasing, blackmailing, or harassing someone online is called cyberbullying. Cyberbullying increases day by day. Up to date, many people have lost their lives by indulging in online fights and they have to face their consequences in real life. Student being bullied by a group of students is called mob.

The Mindset Of Bullies

Bullies are mostly arrogant and narcissists. An arrogant person is never happy for others. He wants the control of everything in his hands. Bullying is also done between competitors. You might have hardly seen the position holders students in your class sitting together or enjoying together. This proves that bullying is also done because of a competition.

When a person is bullied, he loses his confidence, self-esteem, faces anxiety and that anxiety mostly leads him to depression. Depression is the reason why many people commit suicide. According to a research, Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for those between the ages of 15 and 34 in the United States. Depression could be the major cause of deaths by 2020.  It is estimated that between 15 and 25 children commit suicide every year in the UK alone because they are being bullied For teenagers, Self-esteem is one of the most important tools.

Teenage is a life phase where a person learns a lot of things in his life. Teenagers are bullied a lot by their schoolmates or college mates.

Bullies often think that they have support. Bullies try to get attention by bullying others and they are attention seekers. People who are bullied face social problems. They often stay alone. They always think about a power that would save him/her from bullies. A person who is bullied has no clear vision for his future. People who get annoyed very quickly are easy to be bullied.

How to Tackle Bullies

Tackling bullies is not very hard. The only way to tackle them is to ignore them. It is the hardest practice for a person to stay calm in every sort of situation. People who are mature stay calm even in the toughest situations in their life. According to psychology if you ignore a person it is like you hurt him physically.

The narcissists are bullies and they never liked to be ignored, therefore ignore the bullies. Be optimistic, Life has many ups and down in it. Tough time will always teach you. Always think positive, Never let another one defame or disrespect you. Bullies will be with you for few days but then there is a long life ahead.
